FAQs
What is SIT?
Social Impact Token (SIT) is a social impact investment platform designed to fund and scale real-world support for vulnerable households. It is built on a live UK delivery model operated by Healthy Homes Solutions through The Vulnerability Initiative, which is already supporting tens of thousands of people nationwide.
SIT provides the long-term funding, governance and technology framework needed to expand this proven model responsibly in the UK and internationally, while ensuring transparency and independent verification of impact.
How do SIT tokens work?
SIT uses a dual-token structure to keep things clear and accountable:
- One token is used for investment and governance participation.
- A separate, non-financial token is used to evidence and record verified social impact.
This separation ensures that fundraising, decision-making and impact reporting are distinct but connected — making it easier for investors, partners and regulators to understand how funding translates into real outcomes.
What is KYC / AML?
KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) are standard identity and security checks used by regulated investment platforms.
They involve verifying your identity and ensuring funds come from legitimate sources. These checks help protect investors, prevent fraud and ensure the platform operates responsibly and in line with applicable regulations.
All onboarding for SIT is handled through our secure technology partner, Stobox.
What are the risks and returns?
SIT is a long-term, impact-focused investment and should be considered carefully. Like any investment, participation carries risk, and returns are not guaranteed.
Rather than relying on speculation or short-term trading, SIT is designed around responsible platform growth, governance and real-world adoption. Any potential financial returns are linked to the performance and scale of the platform over time, alongside independently verified social outcomes.
Prospective investors should always seek independent financial, legal or tax advice before making a decision.
How is impact measured?
Impact delivered through the platform is measured using independently recognised wellbeing valuation methodologies developed by HACT.
This approach converts improvements in people’s wellbeing into robust monetary values using large national datasets and HM Treasury Green Book–aligned methodology. Social Return on Investment (SROI) is calculated conservatively and independently validated, providing a transparent and credible measure of real-world impact.
What are the corporate CSR benefits?
For corporate and institutional participants, SIT provides a clear and auditable way to support social impact aligned to ESG and CSR objectives.
Benefits include:
- Transparent reporting on outcomes delivered
- Independently verified SROI data
- Alignment with multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Enhanced stakeholder trust through evidence-based impact reporting
In some cases, participation may also support CSR-related tax considerations, subject to jurisdiction and professional advice.
